Below you are the outlines and measurements of our door strikes. When shopping around for the door strike please be sure to do some homework to determine the following:

1) Will this strike plate measure up to the latch and the bolt on my existing lock? If the strike is too small the obviously it will not latch or lock properly. If the strike is too big then you may have the problem of the door rattling when it is closed.

2)But more importantly you have to determine if the door frame is made of either metal or wood:

* If it is made of METAL then it is very important to find an EXACT match to the cutout in the doorframe. It cannot be bigger or smaller because it is very difficult (if not downright impossible in some cases.) to adjust the doorframe to fit the strike. In the end it is almost guaranteed that you will end up with a mess if you attempt it.
*If your door is made of WOOD then you can get a strike plate that closely matches the existing cutout and make the necessary changes with minimal fuss and confusion.
